For me, a Tung-sol 12ax7 was the best, but a Mesa 12ax7 was quite nice for the crunch channels. One more note - If you want to experiment with the tone, buy a couple different 12ax7's and swap em' to see what flavour you like best. Funny though, since changing amps to one with a non-working reverb I've gotten to be a better player and don't miss reverb/delay at all. I was always able to dial in something I liked, which was usually some delay to beef up my leads. I bash it a little, but it is a great amp in it's own right, and the ability to get the exact same tone at any volume is an amazing quality that cannot be overlooked. I could never put my finger on it until I started playing other amps and realized it was just because of the way it's built.
The two OD's are not bad but they just never really sounded right to my ears. con el d-y c or ManueiA nso Pa-o a do3- Ganb tt r57 a ry 87 et or37 0ugl r. With a 2-way footswitch available you can turn. This all-valve amp has power reducing features making it ideal for different environments from performing on stage to recording in the studio. The Origin50H delivers classic, rich and harmonic tones with a contemporary, sleek style. The clean channel is where all the tone is at though, imho. This 50W head enables you to express your personality. I always used it with the AVT412 that I bought with it, but if you have a chance to put an AVT head on a real cab, it's actually pretty good. Both clean and overdrive channels work well but no footswitch included.
Both components have a couple dings but are in otherwise good condition. Switch to Overdrive, and go from classic rock tones right up to the most contemporary, slamming sounds imaginable. Marshall AVT 50H amp and AVT 4x12 cabinet.
With a power output of 50 Watt and 4 ohms impedance, this amplifier strengthens the signal coming out of the attached instrument to reproduce accurately and even to enhance its sound. it gets the most use out of the single tube that way, and then with a pedalboard in front it's not so bad at all. The AVT50H combined with the purpose-built AVT412A 4x12' 200W Celestion-loaded cabinet and tube preamp will deliver crisp, clean sound and a roaring crunch that just oozes vintage authenticity. Marshall AVT-50H is a guitar amp head that provides high power and acoustic sound. There are three things I've done over the years to make this amp sound great: 1) I got an Mxr 10 band eq and put it in the loop along with a good reverb pedal. I used an AVT150 head for years, it's not bad but I always found that the best sounds were on the clean channel with the gain dimed. I've had an AVT50 head now for over 10 years.
